District Retreat

District Retreat

October 5-8, 2020

Grand Hyatt  Vail, Colorado

We recognize this has been a challenging season on many levels for our District workers and therefore have requested Dr. Keith Davis help workers and spouses explore Pursuing the Grace of Sustainability as we gather. Keith and his wife, Kathy, are well known in our District, residing in Colorado Springs, and have ministered to many of our workers through their counseling ministry. Having served in pastoral ministry themselves and counseled many pastors, couples, and individuals serving the greater church body, the Davises recognize the unique needs of those individuals and potential pitfalls as a result of ministry stress and burnout. It is their desire to provide some practical ideas to help workers walk in the grace of sustainability in order to continue to be strong and courageous in the face of depleting circumstances with which we all are engaged.

To assist you in your planning, please note the following details:

  • •  We recommend travel plans be made to arrive on Monday evening, October 5 and depart on Thursday morning, October 8.
  •   This Retreat has been designed to provide more free time than previous retreats with the intent of allowing ample rest and relaxation. We will gather each morning at 9:00 for approximately an hour hearing from Keith and Kathy and then regroup in the evening at 7:00.
  • There will not be a group dinner, but area restaurants are available.
  • Room rates range from $129-$349 per night. These rates are available three nights prior and three nights following Retreat. To receive the reduced rates, please register through the following link: 2020 District Retreat
  • Attendees are welcome to bring games keeping in mind social distancing guidelines.
  • Hotel guests are required to wear face coverings in hotel public areas including the meeting room.
