Pursuing God
As a District Family, we want to pursue God by listening, walking and engaging.
Listen
John 10:27
“My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me.”
As a District, we value hearing from the Lord. We believe it’s crucial to quiet ourselves, find time for solitude with God, and listen for his voice. How are you making this a priority in your daily life? How is your church’s leadership corporately making this a priority? Do you know his voice?
Walk
Galatians 5:25
“Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit.”
Obediently walking in dependence upon the Spirit is vital. The Spirit transforms us from the inside out, empowers us to accomplish fruitful ministry, and keeps us from pursuing desires of the flesh. Is your team experiencing the presence and power of the Spirit in your lives?
Engage
Acts 1:8
“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”
As we hear God’s voice, and walk in obedience, we believe we will find ourselves intentionally and aggressively advancing God’s Kingdom in all four Acts 1:8 environments. Have you identified your Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria, and Ends of the Earth partnership? How are you engaging? How are you proclaiming the gospel and making disciples? Sending workers?
